Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in Japan
Join Zack as he visits Tokyo, Japan to find out more about Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi is much more than an automotive company, making rockets, tankers, cruise ships, regional jet aircraft, industrial vehicles, and they even own Nikon. Zack takes look at the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) that is being developed. At the plant, the Outlander PHEV undergoes 200,000km of driving simulation to test and improve durability. At the Outlander PHEV plant, small autonomous vehicles transport parts around the factory. This isn’t the only autonomous technology Mitsubishi is utilizing – the Outlander PHEV is currently testing various autonomous driving and parking features. The Outlander PHEV is the best-selling plug-in hybrid EV crossover in the world and will be coming to Canada by 2018.
