Behind the Wheel of the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler. 

It is one thing to read the information about a vehicle but in something like this Jeep Wrangler, you really want to get behind the wheel and see what it can do.  Jeep fanatics will already know this, but for those who don’t; Jeep has over 75 years of 4×4 engineering experience.  That is a pretty impressive time.   In fact, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was given the title of 4×4 of the Decade by Four Wheeler Magazine. That is a great testiment to everything this vehcile has become known for.   For 2018 the Rubicon and Unlimited Rubicon get Dana 44 heavy duty front Axel, electronic front sway bar disconnect, performance suspension, Rock-Trac part time 4WD system and Try-Lok front and rear axel.

And don’t forget, the Jeep Wrangler is the only four-door 4×4 open air vehicle on the market!

The newest generation Jeep Wrangler gives people a  choice of powertrains. Currently, you can opt for  the 3.6Litre pentastar V6  with all new 6speed manual or 5-speed automatic.  Still body on frame design. This Jeep Wrangler is 200lbs lighter than previous generation mostly do to light weight high strength aluminum parts.   Every wrangler is trail rated.  Meeting specifications for ground clearance, 76cm height for water forging, better maneuverability, articulation and traction.

The rocks they had us crawl over where large and incline was steep.  To those true off roaders, I give you my full respect.  Managing a challenge like this with a manual transmission must be a genuine skill.  Experiencing  a demanding adventure like this I had full confidence in the automatic abilities of the Jeep.

Of course we all know the the Jeep is known for its off road prowness, but one complaint has been its driving dynamics when using it as a daily driver. It is a long open highway road to the off road track and I am very impressed! The suspension feels comfortable, their is less body roll and new electro-hydraulic power steering does feel more responsive.

Safety is priority for anybody but especially if you plan to take your Wrangler on some adventurous road conditions. This generation Wrangler has more than 75 safety and security features. Standard safety features include traction control, electronic stability control with hill assist, electronic roll mitigation and hill descent control on the automatic.  2-door sport  starts at just under $34,000 and the top rubI can 2 door is 46,345 and 4 door about $2000 more.

For 2018, the Wrangler JK lineup consists of five models; Sport, Sport S, Willys Wheeler, Sahara and Rubicon.

I knew I would be impressed with the 2018 Jeep Wrangler off-road, but I am super impressed with it as a daily driver.   I think this is the best Jeeps best Wrangler yet.
